3/28/2008: Betting different amounts is not working: 5-2 (+4.5 Units), 1-0 (+.75 PUnits)

Well, I’m sucking at my initial picks and my “chase” picks keep saving the day. Still lost 3 units yesterday and as you can see - every BIG unit game I bet loses while the small ones win. You should never go 6-6 and lose 3 units. NO EXCUSE for that… So, Betting Blogger has a new set of rules to keep me even more disciplined.

1. Every single game is worth 1 Unit
2. RARE occasions (like once a week) maybe a 2 unit game can be played but NEVER higher than 2 Units.
3. My unit bets need to be smaller. There is no need to be stressed out and risk my entire bankroll in ONE day. An 0-6 day should never break the bank and should only hurt for a bit. So… My daily Unit bet will be 2% of my total bankroll at the start of each week. So if my bankroll is $1000 on Monday, my 1Unit for that entire week will be $20. Sounds weak huh? Well, my thought is there is no need to be winning/losing hundreds of dollars in a single day. Win $10 a day for every day of the month and I’m up $600. I want to turn this into a marathon - not a race!
4. I will play 1 and ONLY 1 parlay every day. I am starting with a $10 risk for an 8 teamer. Once or IF I hit this, I’m moving to 9 teamer and so on. But always $10 and always 1 a day. No questions asked.
5. DISCIPLINE! Grind it out. Win small amounts of units by betting the good investments! How’s it all sound?
