The Butler Bulldogs recent win over the Syracuse Orangmen has the Indiana basketball spirits up again after a long stretch of disappointment.  People always have talked about the histories of the Indiana Hoosiers and the Purdue Boilermakers and of late the Notre Dame Fighting Irish but that is exactly what it is, history.  If you asked the average college basketball fan where is Butler University located, the answer you would get would more likely then not be wrong, but times have changed and this little team from Indianapolis, Indiana has made it to the “big leagues”.  Since 2005 Butler has a total of 6 NCAA tournament victories tied with Purdue and ahead of Indiana and Notre Dame, 2 and 1 respectively.  This National Championship minded Bulldog team is here to stay, and they are letting all of us know it.
