Is This Really a Betting Blog?
One thing I’ve lost sight of over the course of 2011 is the true vision and purpose of this website. “Betting Blogger“… I feel like I’ve gotten away from true blogging and unique articles and are too focused on the “picks” and overviews side of things. Now I’m not saying these aren’t important. They are. But I’m going to make a conscious effort to get back on the “blogging” train. Some may find my sports betting blogs useful – some may not. But regardless, it will be unique, informative, fun and opinionated.
So what kind of blog articles belong on a “betting blog”? I plan on doing several types of blog updates:
- Sports news and previews. I already do some previews but more opinions on the things surrounding sports news.
- Sports betting industry news. There are always promotions and news blips around the online sportsbooks and Vegas sportsbooks. I will bring you some of these.
- Strategy on sports betting, casino games, poker and more… This is key! A betting blog needs to have this sort of thing.
- Promotions to the latest poker rooms, freerolls, tournaments, casinos and more…
- Fun gambling or betting related stories. Would love to start getting user experience stories about a huge betting day or event you had. Maybe a Vegas trip? Maybe a huge parlay came up short? Backdoor cover that ruined you? We want your story in true blogging fashion.
So there are a few ways I can get this site back to being a betting blog. The most important part is consistency. On top of sending out my picks each day – I plan on taking a few minutes and writing up a blog post for the day.
