Reggie Bush Erased from USC History

To give you some idea just how mad USC is at Reggie Bush, consider this, the school has opted to give back Bush’s Heisman but kept (and still has on display) O.J. Simpsons even with all of the controversy that has followed him. Right now, Reggie Bush may be one of the most disliked players in USC history. It seems that with just a few indiscretions on his part (at least according to the NCAA), Bush has wiped out some of the greatest accomplishments of the USC program and the Trojan faithful are mad.

While USC continues to be one of the better programs in the United States, things have pretty much fallen apart. Pete Carroll is gone. He jumped ship to the pros, reportedly by some, after he discovered what was coming down the pike from the NCAA. Bush had graduated some time ago, but the school and college football fans were still basking in the glow of his and the schools continued success. Now, who knows? The NCAA has come down hard, taking away scholarships and not allowing them to participate in post-season play. Members of the team have decided to transfer, recruits have opted to go elsewhere and USC success can no longer be taken for granted. Things are up in the air.

As it concerns Reggie Bush, his Heisman Trophy will be given back. His football jersey has been removed from Heritage Hall and Reggie Bush’s likeness has been scrubbed from all of the school’s murals which included him. Its really a sad time for USC football fans and likely for Reggie Bush. The school where he was once revered, he is now hated, at least by some. What was at one time, very likely good memories for Bush have been probably been replaced with “would of, should of, could of’s,” something that most people can relate to but have never had to experience on this level.
