Welcome to Betting Blogger NFL Power Rankings.  Each week we will update the NFL Power Rankings according to who we feel are the top teams in the NFL.  We will try to include a small description with each of our picks to justify where are power rankings are set for certain teams.

End of Regular Season Power Rankings:

 

1. Green Bay Packers (15-1) – The Packers finished 15-1. They are the top seed in the NFC, and will sit during the first weekend of the playoffs.

 

2. New Orleans Saints (13-3) – The Saints beat Carolina and finished 13-3. Drew Brees finished with over 5,400 passing yards on the season. New Orleans will host Detroit in the first round.

 

3. New England Patriots (13-3) – The Patriots finished as the top seed in the AFC. New England beat Buffalo 49-21, after trailing 21-0 early in the game. The Patriots will get a bye during first round of the playoffs.

 

4. San Francisco 49ers (13-3) – The 49ers clinched the second seed in the NFC with a win over the Rams. San Francisco will take the first weekend off, before hosting a second round game.

 

5. Baltimore Ravens (12-4) – The Ravens held on to beat Cincinnati and win the AFC North. The Ravens earned the second seed in the postseason, and will sit during the first weekend.

 

6. Pittsburgh Steelers (12-4) – Pittsburgh scored just one touchdown, but came away with a win over Cleveland. The Steelers are the fifth seed, and will head to Denver, to take on the Broncos.

 

7. Atlanta Falcons (10-6) – The Falcons scored 42 points in the first half and blasted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The win moved Atlanta to the fifth seed in the NFC. The Falcons will head to New York to take on the Giants in the first round.

 

8. Detroit Lions (10-6) – Detroit scored 41 points, but it was not enough as they fell to the Packers. With the loss, Detroit fell to the sixth seed in the NFC postseason. The Lions will play at New Orleans this weekend.

 

9. Houston Texans (10-6) – Houston finished the regular season on a three game losing streak. The Texans fell to Tennessee on Sunday after failing to convert a two point conversion late in the game. Houston will host Cincinnati in the first round of the postseason.

 

10. Cincinnati Bengals (9-7) – Cincinnati lost in week 17, but still are heading to the playoffs. The Bengals are the sixth seed, and will head to Houston to take on the AFC South winning Texans.

 

11. New York Giants (9-7) – New York won their final two games to become the NFC East champions. New York will host the Atlanta Falcons in the first round of the playoffs.

 

12. Tennessee Titans (9-7) – The Titans did their part in week 17 beating Houston. The rest of the AFC opponents were not able to help the Titans out, and they failed to make the playoffs.

 

13. Philadelphia Eagles (8-8) – Andy Reid was told he will return for next season despite a disappointing 8-8 record. Philadelphia won the final four games of the season to get to .500.

 

14. Dallas Cowboys (8-8) – The Cowboys season ended in a major disappointment after falling to the Giants. The Cowboys were held scoreless in the first half. Dallas finished the season tied with Philadelphia for second place in the NFC East.

 

15. Chicago Bears (8-8) – Lovie Smith and the Chicago Bears beat Minnesota in week 17 to finish the season 8-8. Chicago played their final seven games without quarterback Jay Cutler.

 

16. Arizona Cardinals (8-8) – Arizona finished the season winning seven of their final nine games. Arizona beat Seattle to finish 8-8, and second place in the NFC West.

 

17. New York Jets (8-8) – The Jets had a chance to make the playoffs with a win over the Dolphins. Instead, New York finished with a three game losing streak, and 8-8 record.

 

18. Denver Broncos (8-8) – Despite the loss, the Denver Broncos are AFC West champions. Denver heads into the postseason with a three game losing streak. The Broncos will host Pittsburgh on Sunday.

 

19. San Diego Chargers (8-8) – San Diego beat Oakland and ruined the Raiders playoff chances. On Tuesday, the Chargers announced Norv Turner would be back for another season as the head coach.

 

20. Oakland Raiders (8-8) – The Oakland Raiders saw the Denver Broncos lose, and only needed to beat San Diego to get into the playoffs. Instead the defense faltered, and then the offense turned the ball over, and the Raiders lost their shot.

 

21. Kansas City Chiefs (7-9) – Kansas City finished with a win over Denver. The win moved the Chiefs to 7-9 on the season. Kansas City scored an AFC low 212 points on the season.

 

22. Seattle Seahawks (7-9) – Seattle had a chance to finish the season at .500. The Seahawks lost in overtime to Arizona. Despite the sub .500 record, Seattle finished with a +6 point differential.

 

23. Carolina Panthers (6-10) – Carolina fell 45-17 on Sunday to New Orleans. The loss ended the season for the Panthers at 6-10. Carolina hopes to improve even more next season under Ron Rivera.

 

24. Miami Dolphins (6-10) – Miami picked up the upset win, and kept the New York jets out of the postseason. The Dolphins finished the season with a point differential of +16 on the season.

 

25. Buffalo Bills (6-10) – Buffalo scored the first 21 points of the game on Sunday, but allowed New England to score 49 straight. Buffalo won just one road game all season long; at Kansas City.

 

26. Washington Redskins (5-11) – Washington fell to 5-11 with a loss to Philadelphia on Sunday. The Redskins started the season 3-1, so they lost 10 of their final 12 games to finish the season.

 

27. Jacksonville Jaguars (5-11) – Jacksonville wrapped up the 2011 season with a win over Indianapolis. Maurice Jones-Drew wrapped up the rushing title adding 169 yards in the win.

 

28. Minnesota Vikings (3-13) – Minnesota had plenty of chances to win their final game of the season, but fell short to the Bears. The Vikings finished 3-13 and will have the third pick in the draft.

 

29. Cleveland Browns (4-12) – Cleveland finished the season with a 13-9 loss to the Steelers on Sunday. Cleveland finished with just 218 points; which was the second worst in  the AFC.

 

30. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-12) – Raheem Morris was fired after the final game of the season. Tampa Bay allowed the Falcons 42 first half points in the blow-out loss.

 

31. Indianapolis Colts (2-14) – Indianapolis had their two game winning streak snapped by Jacksonville on Sunday. The loss meant the #1 pick in the 2012 NFL draft.

 

32. St. Louis Rams (2-14) – The disappointing 2011 season came to an end for St. Louis. The Rams finished 2-14 after losing to San Francisco on Sunday. The horrible season caused the Rams to fire Steve Spagnoulo.
