NFL Week 3 Opening Leaners

no comment Posted by admin

NFL Opening Leaners is a weekly segment that is published shortly after the lines are released.  These are not actual plays - just early leans.

Atlanta -5 vs. Kansas City:  The Chiefs are struggling.  They are on their 3rd QB now and really not looking good.  Larry Johnson is disgruntled which means bad things for the Chiefs.  Atlanta is a much more solid team than last year.  If Turner is healthy this will definitely be a Sunday play, if not, it’s still close.  Nice leaner to start the week.

Tennesee -5 vs. Houston:  Love this game.  Houston is not that good on the road.  Tennessee’s defense is nails.  If their offense can put a few in the endzone they should have no problem covering the 5.  BTW, I like this team much better with Collins at QB than Young.

Chicago -3 vs. Tampa Bay:  Not sure what to think of the Bears.  But I know they have looked decent.  As long as they don’t get behind I think they are ok here.  First home game should have this defense pumped up completely.  Look for a blowout of 27-13 Bears.

Minnesota -3.5 vs. Carolina:  Loving this game too.  Minnesota has to figure out how to score TD’s sooner or later don’t they?  They took the Colts to the wire and now I think they break through at home.  Vikings at 0-3?  No way.

Philadelphia vs. Pittsburgh +3: The Eagles looked great this past week @ Dallas but look for a bit of a letdown here.  The Steelers defense is good and I think they keep this one within a field goal.

Indianapolis -5.5 vs. Jacksonville:  Maybe the early lean lock of the week here.  Colts offense starts to play and the Jags are reeling.  Losing at home to the Bills, they go to Indy and get embarrassed.  Colts can’t afford to not play well.

That’s it for now.  We will release the Betting Blogger official plays later on this week as the NFL Sunday creeps up on us!
